We promised that we would move yearly and completely with points updates. So you get a chance to print all the new stuff all at once with the knowledge the new card is good for at least a year.
So here is this years points update. We hope you see that the ships we have chosen to change don’t get the sea time they deserve.

There is no better example of this than old KK. She has some real detractors due to her age. None easier to highlight than her hopeless speed. Her job is getting out into the midfield and destroying LC. That’s not going to happen at 4″ a round. So when given a ‘more speed’ order she can replace you protected cruiser in the escort roll. Even then 4 guns isn’t going to kill a DD before launching it’s torps. However she can add an aim token to an enemy ship. So 40 safe points; because at the very least she can get in the way of a DD strike on your BB? Sad but true.

Another ‘master of nothing’ category ship is old Adalbert. Not breaking any speed records and really lacking any of the protection an AC is meant to have, PA does ‘Protected Cruiser’ better than KK above. She can have gunnery control and make some more use of her directed battery so she is more than KK but far less useful than most.

Over to the UK now to look at an AC that sits nicely between the two above. She doesn’t have a speed problem or an armour one. The RN just plain forgot to give her any guns. Better torpedoes though. So it’s possible she could use them against a torpedo heavy LC on a run at your BB… maybe?

Over to BC now. There is a big post on these but this isn’t in it. As Yavus is a Moltke she gets the points change as well.
There are a couple of other minor changes in AC but for the most part check out your BC cards for some major changes to points. We hope you approve of our choices and changes.
I like the look of the new cards. Any idea when all the cards will be changed over to the new style.
Thanks Dave we like the new look as well. The point changes are on going for a little bit. Then Whole nations will be updated in a matter of days.
